A fierce mounted ironside, clutching his heavy cavalry sword or a pistol as he charges with this legendary lobster pot helmet on; a sight you would want to be a part too!  And which has been our inspiration for that simplified version of the most iconic helmet of the English Civil War! The famous Ironsides were the elite cavalrymen of Parliamentarian cavalry under Oliver Cromwell during the 17th-century English Civil War.

HANDMADE from 18gauge MILD STEEL, this lightweight helmet is lined with real buff leather for shock absorption and a snug fit. The three protective bars and cheek plates offer significant face protection. An approximate circumference of 68 cm makes it ideal for almost all head sizes. Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
