The sallet was quite popular among late medieval armies because of its versatility and good balance between protection and mobility. This beautiful sallet is HANDMADE from 16-gauge mild steel (14G available on request), lined with a comfortable and secure padded liner. A circumference of approximately 68 cm makes it fit almost all head sizes. And a sturdy chin strap closed with a lovely brass buckle will help keep your helmet in place during all your battles. Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
